Dexter Opening Titles
At the start of the opening titles there was a blood sucking animal, the mosquito. this could show that it may have something to do with blood but then the typography appears which has been written in blood. This signifies that the film will contain a lot of bloody scenes. all is not what it may seem because he is just doing his daily routine al though there has been a lot of blood. there is a lot of extreme close ups in the opening titles, this tries and makes the objects emphasized for example the red blood on the clean white sink will make it look bolder and more obvious. when he is cutting the skin of the meat this old signify a killing or something dangerous because of the knife that has been used. The orange shot has been made to be slow motions, this makes the squirt of the orange juice look more dramatic and bold this could also be a signifier for something horrid and dangerous. In a way its kind of cannibalistic. all of the mans action are very violent and aggressive for example when he is flossing his teeth he grabs the floss and wraps it around his finger very tightly like he is just about to strangle someone which signifies a lot of anger and violence.
